About Philly Esports: Philly Esports is an Esports Tournament organizer dedicated to creating authentic competitive gaming experiences and fostering the growth of passionate individuals within the esports circuit since 2018. Our team is composed of industry professionals ranging from entrepreneurs to event organizers, and community educators. Our mission is to showcase and bolster esports talents of all varying backgrounds and build an all-inclusive community through events and education. Role: Our team is looking to hire a dedicated and motivated Youth Esports Educator to run after-school educational programming in the city of Philadelphia. The Youth Esports Educator must have exceptional interpersonal skills as well as teaching experience of individuals under the age of 18. This position will have you interacting with students and staff from elementary, middle, and high school from inner cities schools and underserved areas. Through esports, the Youth Esports Educator will expose these students to opportunities for education, career development, creative outlets, and much more. Job requirements:

  • High School Degree
  • Deep passion and love of esports
  • Two or more years of teaching experience
  • Knowledge of curriculum writing, editing and planning
  • Proficiency in the English language is required, additional languages are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customers as well as management and peers
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and a passion for esports, entrepreneurship, and gaming
  • Competitive Gaming background is a PLUS but not required
Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with both middle and high school students to further their understanding and interest in careers within Esports
  • Aid in developing curriculum centered around various video games
  • Have a general knowledge of video games, coding, esports, and computer hardware/software
  • Help students with coding as well as provide examples of how coding is used in real world situations
  • Provide examples of career paths that center around coding and Esports
  • Help students improve their critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Motivate students to actively seek out ways to improve their skill sets both in the classroom and outside the classroom
  • Push students to access their creative abilities

Max Salary : $35000
